January 20, 2012 – The year of the Dragon for the Chinese New Year starts on January 23, 2012 and with a growing population of Chinese immigrants to Costa Rica, there will be many attractions and events to see.
However, most places in Costa Rica will be celebrating it on the January 28, 2012.

August 14, 2011 - When buying real estate in Costa Rica, the preferred location by expats is usually to buy a house or condo in the outskirt of San Jose like in Escazu, Moravia or Santa Ana. The reasons for this are many but despite this real estate trend, many people have chosen to live in downtown San Jose.
Because of this, the price of homes in San Jose, mostly condos or apartments, can be quite an opportunity as people are on average paying 10% less than they would if they had purchased a condo in Escazu.

June 28, 2011 - Buying real estate in Costa Rica is in most cases a fairly straightforward process where you have a house budget, you find a house you want within your budget and you buy the house. One thing however that needs to be mentioned when buying Costa Rica real estate is the resale value of your home.
This is not a very popular topic amongst Costa Rica real estate broker at the moment but it is still a very important one which needs to be addressed because no one knows when home values in Costa Rica will rise again nor does anyone know when they will take a dip either.
